E-Series Carrier Class Routing

The E-series family includes five models:

the high-capacity ERX-1440
the mid-range ERX-1410
the ERX-710 and ERX-705
the compact ERX-310

All models feature a full suite of Internet routing protocols, including BGP-4, IS-IS, OSPF, and RIP. E-series edge routers provide scalable capacity for tens of thousands of users, making them ideal for service providers that operate high capacity POPs.

The E-series family provides switch fabric options that operate at 5, 10, or 40 Gbps, and supports high-port density WAN interfaces in a compact package. A wide range of interface options includes OC-3/STM-1, OC-12/STM-4, Fast Ethernet, and Gigabit Ethernet, as well as channelized DS-1, DS-3, E1, and E3.

M-Series

M7i - Designed to deliver security and performance in small PoPs, head office CPE environments, and in campus border router applications. Ideal replacement for the Cisco 7200 and 7304 routers for those customers who desire features and performance without trade offs.

M10i - A fully redundant M-series router targeted at small and medium points of presence. Ideal replacement for the Cisco 7500 and 7600 routers and for those customers who desire features and performance without trade offs.

The T320 Router: Juniper Networks Inc. further redefines the core by delivering the T320 Router: the industry's most compact 10-Gbps routing platform, fitting three chassis to a rack. While fully leveraging the T-series architecture and leading-edge T-series ASICs, the T320 router offers significant gains in form factor, power consumption, and bandwidth density. Designed for a breadth of applications, the T320 router is ideally suit for multiservice transit, peering, metro Ethernet aggregation, data center aggregation, and carrier-of-carrier VPNs.

As an entry point into the T-series routing family, the T320 platform delivers unprecedented flexibility and boasts all of the benefits of T-series technology: unprecedented levels of dependability, performance, density, and scalability. Network service providers can start with dense OC-3/STM-1 and then linearly scale IP services to dense 10-Gbps rates in a single T320 chassis. If further capacity is required, service providers can cost-effectively migrate to the T640 routing node since PICs are portable between platforms and since the same JUNOS software runs on both platforms. These scalability features ensure greater returns on investments and no service disruption while scaling the network.
