The Alcatel 1642 Edge Multiplexer, part of the Alcatel Optical Multi-Service Node (OMSN) family, is an economical as well as an ideal space-saving multi-service system for customer premises and metropolitan access networks applications.

Targeting local and metropolitan network applications, the Alcatel 1662 SMC is a compact, cost-effective multiservice system offering operators the ability to deliver several different types of services in STM-1/4/16 applications. It features all standard PDH and SDH interfaces from 2 Mb/s to 2.5 Gb/s and a fully non-blocking matrix to address any network topology.

The Alcatel 1670 SM is an STM-16/64 optical multi-service node (OMSN) that can function as a pure ADM or as a cross connect with up to 512x512 STM-1 equivalent higher-order matrix.
